Painting Tracks

I am searching for tips on painting tracks for a King Tiger I am currently working on. Any type of advice would be greatly apprieciated.

My method to paint WW2 plastic tracks:

Firstly,Paint in Flat Black by airbrush;
Secondly, paint a little in rust(or red brown) by airbrush;
Thirdly,Wash it by pastel & Tamiya X-20A thinner;
Then, dry-brush in Metal gray.

Hi,
my approach to painting tracks:
1. Mix Humbrol colors: Dark Grey, Red Brown and some Black. Black only for starters is...to black for my taste.
2. Let dry and wash with Black/Grey.
3. Very light wash with Red Brown or dry brushing with Red Brown.
4. Depending on the wanted outcome Migment washes mixed with thinner with different shades.
5. Dry brushing with metallic colors. Not too bright colors!
6. Dusting with Migments.

Armorstu,
I paint my tracks a blue-black color. Then give them a thick rust wash with brown pastels mixed in. Next I drybrush with grey and finish by using a silver colored pencil to go over the high points. Hope this helps. Fletcher

This is my approach:
1. Gunze Tire Black
2. Tamiya Red Brown
3. Tamiya Flat Earth (lightly and also on the running gear)
4. Tamiya or Gunze Mettalic color(dry brush)
5. Wash with burnt sienna oils

This is just my simple way of doing plastic tracks... fruilmodels are a whole 'nother story!
