Hello everyone and welcome to my new thread on the conversion of the Revell Leopard 1A5 into the Belgian version called the Leopard 1A5BE. I started this kit about a year ago. It was put on hold after I had to wait for some parts which I ordered and I started my conversion of the Revell M-109A3G German version into the M-109A3 GN Norwegian version. Since this project has ended I have found some time to get back started with my leopard 1. The hull is finished and I'm busy doing the turret right now not so easy since I have to scratch the entire Sabca gunners sight.
I will show you the kit first, two pics of the real tanks, and my progress this far.

So let's get started shall we:

Great job and very original choice of subject! I love the way you did the side stowage boxes especially but everything you modified/strachtbuilt was made at the highest standard, I will be following your build very closely.

Cheers,

Christophe

Good evening all

I want to thank everyone for viewing my topic. I will be posting a last update tommorrow evening. I made some progress on the most difficult part of the turret the Sabca gunners sight.

@ Christophe: I want to scratch and update the model as best as possible. I made a 200 pic walk around to help me get everything right.

@ Petarted: thanks for the comments :)

@ Solorow: Thanks for your comments.

@ James: It's a pitty so few people like or build modern armor modeling subjects. Almost 85% on the forums is WW2 as a subject. Glad you like my modern amor project :thumb::thumb:

Thanks & Cheers Roel

Good evening everyone

Today a fellow modeler of my club made some new pics of the progress made last week on the turret. The sabca gunners sight is coming along very nice and is taken shape :) The bad news is I will be abroad for the next 4 months so updates will be on halt since this is the last one. Hope you like the pics I included some of the real gunners sight to make it more clear.
