Hi all,

I'm building DML 7234 Hornisse with Eduard PE sets.

Actually the DS tracks included in this kit was too short, so it has stayed on the shelf for a long time until I finally found this solution.

This is a Hummel with short track featured in the Panzerwrecks No.5. :thumb:

I got a complete set of PANZERWRECKS books as a prize from the Braille Scale Monthly Competetion, BTW. :D

Eduard provides very nice Ammo racks. :thumb:

Eduard cover for ammo rack has superior detail to the PE part included in the kit.

I replaced some parts with thin plasticard(0.13mm).
I also thinned the edges of walls of the fighting compartment

Generally this kit has nice details but some parts are misplaced or omitted so correcting them with PE parts seems essential. Pity that this PE set seems out of production now. :(

I added weld seams, rivets, wiring to the light with the stretched red sprue of GUNPLA.

I filled the gap in the gun breech after taking this pic.

I removed these parts according to the war time photo.

http://pds11.egloos.com/pds/200811/01/35/c0071335_490c5c7f13284.jpg

...and added some details for the missing suspension.

Towing cable eyelets are from the Stug III and S shaped shackle is made from the stretched sprue.

Thanks for looking and any suggestion or comments are welcome. :)

Best regards,

Wonsug

Abdin, Thanks :)
If you ever tried 1/35 PE clamps, then 1/72 scale is nothing difficult. :D

Hi Javier. Yes, this scale is definitely worth building. :thumb:

Hello Anthony, 1/72nd is really great scale. :p

Hi everyone,

After such a long time, I finally finished my Hornisse. I'm planning a vignette for this one, so stay tuned. :)

I used Eduard PE set and painted it with GSI creos lacquer(No. 45 sail color) and enamels from Testors(rust) and Tamiya(IJN cockpit green).

It was then filtered with Winton raw umber oils and weathered with Migments.

Best wishes and Happy New Year! :thumb:

Wonsug.

The animation ist made by gif animation program (don' know how it is called).

Can someone explain the thing with the short tracks too me?

Yes, sorry... inartfully expressed!
Issue of understanding. :D

It's just set up like this for easier recovery? The Hummel is not able to move by itself?

Fantastic work Wonsug, simply excellent!!
My only recomendation would be to paint the muzzle brake in steel due to the discoloration that occurs when it fires. Other than that I'd won't change a thing.

Are you going to put a Famo towing it?

Özgür, Arthur, Mateusz, Sven, Andrey, Ruben, Solo, Thanks for warmest comments. :)

Mateusz, as Sven explained I used GIF animation program. Adobe ImageReady is a famous tool for that.

Sven, I guess if tracks is not wound to the sprocket wheel, towing vehicle would be much easier because it will bypass all the transmission, gear, etc.

Ruben, you don't mean the muzzle brake blackening, do you?
I understand there is much controversy regarding it and I think some chipping or discoloration would be appropriate. I'll add some chipping as you suggested, thanks.

And about the vignette, it will be very small size and no other vehicle will be added.

Solo, I'm looking forward to seeing your Nashorn. :thumb:
