Hello, i have finally finished "fence" on main hull, everything is now covered with base coat. I need to wait for new paint, shop where i bought main has made a mistake and send me the wrong one, so i will have to wait for right one, paint will be Lifecolor israeli sand grey 1982. Now i will finish the "doghouse" and wait for tracks to arrive from shop.
Here is update:

Just like most of israeli vehicles and their conversions. I have finally receive my paint is a Life Color Israeli sand grey 1982. Never used that one before but it is very good, no problems when airbrushing.

It looks like nobody likes it?. Ok anyway i have wash everything now with Van dyke brown, add some signs of exploatation. Next in line is to assemble tracks, i have bought workable tracks for that project and it's a lot of work with them.

Well first painted with black primer than base color, varnish, wash and then sanding paper to remove paint cover. When in some places i have reach bare plastic i have use humbrol metalic paint to simulate metal material, so basicly i think just like it happens in real life.

Glad you like mate.

That is my way of thinking, we are trying to show real things in small scale, so why not try to copy real processes in a our plastic babys so they look realistic.

I had to drill over 400 holes and used 100 pieces of decoration wire to make that "fence". Unfortunetly i had broke my 3rd fluid nozzle in airbrush this year  , so i cannot make all the shading properly.

Cool subject...what is the cage armor for....reflecting Anti-Tank rounds?

I have the regular M88 from AFV club....nice model.

Good job! :)

Serpico,

That type of armor is meant to pre-detonate shape charge rounds (Basically RPGs and Heat rounds) so that the explosion disipates enough in order to avoid it penetrating the main armor.
