Colours for the Maybach HL 230 P30

Hey guys, I have a project coming up where I plan on installing a Verlinden engine into a Dragon 1/35 scale Tiger II, and would like to know if anyone has a good reference as to what colours should the used for the engine and other accessories surrounding it.

I have found some B/W photos, plus some pics of miniature versions(engine), but nothing to give me a solid idea as to how the setup looked in the Tiger II.

Hi A.B. - welcome. I would say from what I've read black is probably your best bet. Perhaps different shades or shines to add interest. And the Air cleaners- perhaps a white?

Interesting, never seen it in that fashion! I came across one that appeared to be like a field grey all over, and another pretty much in a aluminum finish, with the steel bits weathered.
