Ok, started this one a long time ago (heck, I lived in another house, wasn't married and didn't have kids yet) but thought I would share the progress I have made on it.

Up front, this kit cost about twenty bucks, including shipping so I wasn't expecting the world when I opened her up.
What a nice surprise awaited me! The kit included for the most part a full interior, sure it's a bit basic but more than we get from the big hitters out there.
I started construction on the massive howitzer. The barrel fit together pretty well, with a little sanding required after the halves were joined. The breech details are solid, but with some injector pin marks.

I next moved on to the hull interior and engine.
I did think the hull was a little basic, so I added some details using "gizmology". My references for this vehicle are basically nil.

The engine is a mini-kit in itself and requires around twenty bits to assemble it:

Here is the hull after the engine and transmission are finally added to it:

As you can see, quite a bit of detail!!

I'm using Kitpic.com, shouldn't be any problems?
Here are some additional shots of the hull interior, as you can see some marks to fill in on the back plate!

And some additional gizmology on the interior:

Moving on to the turret interior. We have some more knock-out marks:

These ones are ugly and this is a shot after a poor effort on filling them up:

And lastly, more of the guess work:

And finally a shot of the real deal:

Some post-paint shots tomorrow!

Will do!!
Some shots after painting and weathering. Unfortunately, creating this thread move a lot quicker than the actual model!! :)

I didn't end up being very pleased with the quality of my painting and weathering on the hull and decided to button up the kit more than I had originally intended. :(

And here is where I pretty much ended up after working on this thing off-and-on for about a year. I think I will try and weather it up while constructing my Jagdpanzer IV....maybe?

After priming the vehile with Citadel flat black, this mammoth took quite a bit of time to paint!! For some reason though, I really like the looks of this vehicle. Nothing flashy, but it looks like it could lob some serious shells!
Hope you all have enjoyed so far.
HOLY SWISSCHEEZE BATMAN!!! That kit is an Ejection Pin Nightmare!!!..
But you've turned it into a nice lil Gem Stuke as always... ! :o
Question what's the whites stuff your using for the sprue stands? I need to start doing stuff like that for 'painting' and stuff..
right now I'm doing the two sided tape on wooden slats.. and that's kind of lame

Thanks Charlie. The pin marks are a pain, but given the price of the kit against what you get with it, I think it can be forgiven. :)
The white stuff is just play-doh, pretty handy. Another item I use to support my individual bits that need painting is styrofoam. I've got loads of the stuff and it works easily as well.

Hmmm, don't think I will be attempting the whitewalls with my kit. I believe that is just a parade vehicle feature anyway. Well, that's the story I am sticking to anyways. :)
Great shots BTW!
