That would be correct. The insides of most hatches were the same as the tanks exterior. I have seen some exceptions though.

My guess would be sun light reflecting making it look lighter. I think it would still be grey. I could be wrong but if it were the interior ivory/cream color it would be much brighter.

PS Notice the upside down turret bin. Cool. Wonder how they open it.

What's with the upside down turret bin? Someone obviously didn't read the manual :D

I think the inside of the hatch might be cream color, the vision block looks like a replacement one and is grey.

What is that, an Ausf. D? Missing a bogie too.

More likely, the door is a replacement, as the other hatch appears to be grey.

The more at look at this picture the more it puzzles me. See where the forward hatch hinges with the turret. The hatch part of the hing is a light color also but not the turret part indicating that hatch interior may be a lighter color....but....if you look across to the rear hatch it is the turret part of the hinges that are a lighter color and the hatch hinges are darker so it may be a lighting thing or a picture processing thing I do not know. Puzzling. The bottom line though is that I have seen other hatches with the ivory color so it is possible but most are painted the tanks exterior color.
