Panzer Divisions and their vehicles

I often find myself wanting to have two or so modelled vehicles grouped together in a display but with my scatter brain I find it difficult to get the focus necessary, (I love spell check:p) to sort out what would be with what and when. Perhaps if we were to start a thread for every Panzer Division and layout the vehicles that they used and during what periods, as well as any markings info and paint scheme research we could all benefit from having all that reference all in one thread? A daunting task I know but maybe it will be possible to achieve?
For example the Panzer II/C I am working on. What Division and time frame, location did it exist in. And what were it's contemporary vehicles and equipment? What were the solders uniforms like and what battles were they involved in?

A very good idea James.
The old computer game "east-front" had a good breakdown of everything you would get in an ideal/full strength division. I wish I still had it as it was a fun strategy game too.


BTW I'll start up-loading pics to you this weekend if thats ok (god there are tons of them :)).

It might be an idea to get a book on german WWII small unit tactics, fe Schneider's "Panzer Tactics: German Small-Unit Armor Tactics in World War II".
