Hi Guys,

I bought Formations Models M4A2 conversion when it first came out. I figure I better get to building it before a plastic kit comes out and I feel like money was squandered. ;)

Let's begin by preparing Academy's Achilles' lower hull for the FM conversion. First a bit of detailing is in order.

the sponson weld beads were done with stretched sprue. The black styrene is from Maquette's T-34 Model 1941.

Actually, I do not mind adding all those bolts ;)

This is from the days of modeling as opposed to building! The turret from Formations Models has been worked on and I will add photos soon.

Still to add to the lower hull are the L profile mounts near the front. These were welded to the bottom of the sponsons and had bolt holes for the transmission armor. Easier to understand when you see the photo.

Aacch! I just found out that there should only be 19 bolts, not twenty across the bottom! Darn, darn, darn, and double darn!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

OK, no one saw a thing...on with the build

Happy New Year to all

Could you tell wich tank did you chose [name]?

Cheers
