Well it doesn't have to be exact- I think the gist of it is they end up saying to go to that address I have copy and pasted above- with the picyure of the one from the 11 PD? Don't stress yourself- I 'll try babelfish again. ;)

I found one with a 2.6cm Panzerbüsche-which I may add to mine. ;) That seems to be a normal 251/6 Ausf. C behind it. This is from Encyclopedia of German Tanks of World War Two by P. Chamberlain and H. Doyle.

I have found a few more pics of this obscure vehicle.
this one is from Panzertruppen at War (#7018) by R. Michulec from Concord Publications Company
http://members.shaw.ca/panzerboy/DML251.6/concord2.jpg

this one is from another Concord book, Panzers in the East (2) Decline and Defeat 1943 - 1945 by the same author. There is a colour plate in that book as well but I think you will have to buy the book as we are only allowed on the net to show one pic from each publication because of copyright issues...
http://members.shaw.ca/panzerboy/DML251.6/concord3.jpg

This one is from 4. Panzer-Division on the Eastern Front (1) 1941 - 1943 from Concord (#7025), again authored by Robert Michulec. There is about 6 or seven pics in a series on this particular vehicle.

The gist of the German site thread is that they don't think both aerials were commonly used on the same vehicle - at least not very often. One fellow cites auch a 251/6 used by Guderian, and one of the links gives a photo of one, making two in all. The A and B versions of the 251 were more commonly used for these configurations (as in the two mentioned), but C and D versions are known and were photographed. The frame antenna is the standard /6 configuration and was possibly the only one used on the C and D, and the telescoping (onion) antenna was used for the Luftwaffe cooperation /3 version (unclear whether the standard /3 used the frame antenna). There were at least two kinds of star (Stern) antenna used, five prongs earlier and six later. Some posters think the distinction between /6 and /3 was the presence of an Enigma coding machine in the /6 which was used in rear areas while the /3 was used near the front lines.

The links go to two sites that have color photos of WW II German radio equipment, and a great site on the SdKfz 251 with all its verions described and linked to photos and more info - all are in English.

I know that this is kind of an old post and I didn't have time to read all the comments, so.......I have an AFV club Ausf C... I want to try to back date it to a "B"...I was thinking that maybe, I could canabilize some stuff from like a 250 to see if that works, but I don't really want to do that....is there a set from anyone to do a back date of a C to a B? Also, that frame looks nifty...Is there something out there that's like in an upgrade set?
Thanks

Hello!
it`s been time from last post, but I hope it`s not finished:)?
I`m interested about subject, because I do 251/3 myself. And reading all threads, still have questions.

This one is still in the box -waiting for more time to get it done. Ask your questions in any case it may be an enlightening experience for both of us.

Hi!
Thanks for the picture
So, like I mentioned, I´m currently working on Sdkfz 251/3 Àusf.B. It`s a Zvezda kit in Revell box. I know that it has its errors, but I built it OOB...basically. Maybe second kit get more attention. And when I end up to radio rack , part that I like most, there very limited amount of information about how radios wired in rack. I mean power cable, interconnections, microphones, Morse key. And the pearl - Enigma mashine:) if the 251/3 had it...
And when fitting rack to the halftrack, radios are higher than hull. Is that normal or its a exeption?
I looked at links in this thread, but ..there allways but, didnt see many pics or info...
