Hi Tom,

Is the muffler the only difference between DML 6320, and this Stug III ? Thanks.

Hello Louis,

Since I dont have any other Stug III kit at this time, I can't answer your question.

G'day Louis.

Yeah it is, mostly. You get an extra sprue (marked "Panzer III ausf M"), decals and a couple of steps in the instructions are different.....

Rear deck overhang underparts and muffler are different as are the brake inspection hatches and upper glacis plate.

green plastic?!

Tom, the build looks pretty good so far. One thing, and these are hard to tell sometimes on photos, but it looks like you might have some leftover sprue attachment points on the ends of the fenders.....maybe it's just the light?

green plastic?!
I think the white balance is off just a little...but it is a nice color!

Yeah, I did liked the greenish plastic. It will be nice if it was like that but I can imagen it will be a little bit of an issue painting it.

Looks good. You might want to fill in the join at the front of the hull sides, just above the final drive housing.

The spare track holder looks a bit too thin and it's quite easy to replace with plasticard.

Hello,

@ DOJO,

No green plastic. It is the usual light grey DML colour but as Rick has said its due to my poor photographing skills. I have to take my pics in the living room.

@ Rick,

There were indeed some sprue attachment point that I forgot to clean. It is taken care of now.

@ Lauwrence,

I will fill in the joints. As for the spare track holder, I dont have any plastic right now and on my following trip to the LHS I bring some and replace the holder.

Thanks for all the comments.

Hello,

After building the rear plate and the exaust system I realized that there was something odd. If you look at this picture:

http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p15/Sadness_010/P3290001.jpg

You see that there are two openings in the plate.

In the instructions there is no mentioning of the two hatches in this picture:

http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p15/Sadness_010/P3290003.jpg
http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p15/Sadness_010/P3290004.jpg

Now shoud I or shoud I not add those hatches to the lower plate?

I hope it is a bit clear what I am trying to say.

Those hatches should be added.

Hello,

Little update.

I have build the commanders cupola and found that there is the use of a P.E. strip. Thats the first time I saw that on a cupola. Here the pics:

Tom, glad that you found some time to move this along. You may want to address the seam lines on the gun now, before you intall it. It will be hard to reach later and the lines may show on the finished piece.

Take care,
