With Wheels and Tracks fast approaching here in Melbourne (March 16th), this years theme is The US Halftrack Series, so I thought I would post a couple of pics of my attempt at an entry....

Still a little work to do on it, but it is slowly getting there.

Yeah those winter camoed MG's are top notch!:D
Looks great! I would weather those wheels and tracks a bit. Looks too clean to me(but I'm too over realistic always;))

Very very nice! If I may offer one suggestion: the front tow cable and chain would have been kept well oiled and clean. Rust wouldn't have been allowed to build up there -- that was an essential bit of equipment. HTH

Looking great Mic, the extra mud looks much better.
At least someone has their Golden Sprocket entry done! :thumb:

Looking good Mic, I like th OD. I have just finished gluing the chassis together on mine. Hope to have paint on by this time next week. Gotta give you some opposition at W&T.

Ok so I haven't done much to finish the Halftrack off at this stage. Sort of been slack, but I have managed to finish a figure and a base for it. The base is a comercial item that I make and sell at the LHS. I just added a tree, some grass and painted it. The figure is a dml effort with and aftermarket head I think it started life as a warriors item. Still needs some weathering to the figure and some painting to go on the base and some more plant matter....maybe this weekend. :D
Thanks to all the people who made comments earlier.
Yes Roy this is just the undercoating before I oil and metalise the cable. For those who have enquired the Olive Drab is actually Gunze Brown Violet (yes an aircraft colour) and white. I feel this gives a much better shade than many of the OD's on the market.

The raw base with my home made tree added to it.

It looks great, but yeah, I agree with John, maybe add a bit of snow? :)
