After failing the first time (bad matt varnish) I returned to my Panther over the X-mas break from my studies. The kit is the "new" (well, the kit was new when I got it ;)) Panther ausf. G from DML. The model is built OOTB and painted with Humbrol enamels. This model is my first try at painting a hard edge camouflage. Weathering have been done with oil paints and "home made" pigments. I'm going to add a sutable figure and a base as well (thinging about a street dio). Please comment! :)

Henrik your Panther looks great :thumb: I really like the colors, they are very vivid and complement each other well. I can tell you used tape for masking when applying the camo. This often leaves a clear border between the two colors. It's especially visible after applying washes. I have had the same "problem" and still have since I haven't found any better method.

what did you use for making mud?

Gopher: I just sprayed the whole running gear in a mix of brown 29, yellow 83 ("german" yellow") in a 50/50 ratio and then added almost as much white. After that i added pigments just to give it some texture and bring more life to it.

Nice colors, and very nice finishing. I really like your running gear work.

Is it based in a specific vehicle or unit?

pwranta193: No, I didn't base it on any specific tank or unit, just took inspiration from several picture I had of LSW Panthers.
