Hey everybody,

my last posting was long time ago, but today I want to show you my latest work: Trumpeter's E-25.
This is my second E-25 and I decided to scratch the roof part to improve my scratching skills and to have a different E-25 in the showcase.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/60/758960/3531363165643431.jpg
All white parts are scratched, the black welding seams are from Archer.

Next I painted the whole tank yellow (mix of Gunze acrylics) and highlighted the top edges with a lighter color:

The steel plates over the fans were painted with Tamiyas, Vallejos and oils. The fire extinguisher is from Ausfwerks with a decal from Peddinghaus. I got it from Markus Lack, thanks again for it Markus!

After adding the Balkenkreuze from Archer the fun part began: the weathering! I started the weathering process with fading. For this step I used different oils like red, orange, black, brown, buff... I added more white to the top edges to highlight this parts again. The next step was the washing, for this purpose I used Migs brown and dark wash.

While the oils were drying I painted the IR gear in another hue of yellow than the tank to have a bit contrast. Again I highlighted the upper parts of the gear. The IR device is from Tamiya and I also got it from Markus.

I started on the chipping process with Vallejos buff for the yellow tank and a mixture of different red colors for the primered parts, like the wheel.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/60/758960/3834396130326233.jpg

Later I will add a dark brown color to the deeper chips. To test the look of it I already applied camo black brown to the red wheel.

Yesterday I began to paint two fuel cans from Tasca, they (and other items) will add a bit life to the tank hopefully!

This is where I am now, I hope you like the progress of my E-25.
I keep you informed about further progress.

Thanks for looking!

Hey Frederik,
even though I´m not too much into Paper-Panzers and the E-25 sure is an ugly thing, I must confess that you made and still make an awesome job on this.
Hopefully my Sd.Kfz. 250 will turn out nearly half good than your E-25 while it is still in progress.
Keep it up!

P.S. Hello from Sarah ;).

P.P.S. Where did you get the Tasca Jerrycans and the Ausfwerk stuff from?

Hi Frederik,

nice job so far.
The Archer welds seem to be pretty cool stuff. Easy to deal with?

Nice work, the fuel cans look very realistic! I also like the different yellows that you used on the tank and the IR, everything really looks good on this one and i am waiting for progress!

Hey guys, thank you so much for your interest and comments, they are really appreciated!

Markus,
I'm sure your Sd.Kfz.250 will turn out as good or better than my tank, as all your models!
Greetings back to her.
I got the Tasca cans from my LHS a few month ago but I know a german onlineshop, I'll send you the adress. I bought the fire extinguishers directly from Auswerfs, I send you one or two of them if you want!

Robert,
yeah, the weld seams are pretty cool, you apply them like a decal. You can't do wrong. Ok, they're a bit expensive but they definatly are worth their money!

Gute Arbeit Frederik
I like your clean scratchbuilding. And the rainmarks and chipping on your jagdpanzer look very well. Hope to see this finished soon.

Radek, Marco, Andrey,
thank you for your nice words!

I'm almost finished with the chipping but I have to do some refinements tomorrow. I used flat brown for the chips on the yellow parts, german camo black brown for all grey and red parts and the IR gear.

The wet spots come from thinner which was still wet while taking the photos.

Now I need to get some Modelkasten or Friul tracks to go on.

Just a small update to show that I'm still working on this model.

I'm still waiting for the Friul tracks to arrive so I can't do much more work on the E-25, but I added a few more chips and streaks with oils. I also painted the exhaust pipes using Vallejo acrylics and Mig pigments. I also attached wiring on the IR gear and the first fuel can (belt is from Aber).

This is getting better and better. I really like these last few steps, using the oils has made the weathering very subtle and soft...nice.

Hey all,

while still waiting for the Friul tracks I did some more progress over the last few days.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/60/758960/6433633230666666.jpg
The tarpaulin was sculpted with Magic Sculp, the jacket is a resin copy of a DS-jacket from DML.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/60/758960/6666326366333563.jpg
Painted with Vallejo, Gunze and Tamiya acrylics and dusted with Mig pigments (I'm going to redo the patch, I don't like the color).

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/60/758960/3135353539363563.jpg
I dusted the shiels over the air intakes and added some oil stains.

Frederik,

That jerrycan seems to be hanging a bit. Maybe add a strip around the handle and secure it to the tool handles above?

Hey all,
after a long break the E-25 is almost done. I still have to do a few touch ups and add the blue rear light.
