Hi,
very nice pics and good looking models! Were these all models or just best of the best of the best?:)
What I don't really understand is why to use plain wood base on models? With a little effort you could make a simple road or such. Well, this wasn't suppose to be any kind of grunt or such but just an observation. Plain base takes so much away from model, you know what I mean?

Cheers,
Niko

Hi Finn
It's a pretty common thing in the US (Baycon is in Attleboro Mass., USA) for builders to put hours of work into a model and then plunk it down on a piece of wood. :o Sometimes it looks ok, sometimes not. There's a lot less emphasis on groundwork here than there is in Europe and maybe other parts of the world, although some modelers here can do groundwork very well.
