Hola Guys!

Id like to find some books that are related to Operation Konrad (I,II,III) but haven't had any luck in finding anything as of yet. Does anyone know of any good ones? Any documentaries about the operations? Web sites?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hejsan Anders,

I can fully recommend "The Siege of Budapest" by Krisztian Ungvary. It covers the 100 days of the Siege. The Relief attempts (Konrad I,II and III) are covered in one Chapter, but the main focus is on Budapest itself. Very little pictures but a good and horrifying read...

Hello Anders

You can also get "Drama between Budapest and Vienna", it has a great deal on the operations, but is tough, tough reading. Its all upper echelon type stuff, with very little on the human element 9but enough to make it worthwhile getting), so it really depends how involved you want to get.

Any of the Wiking unit histories will cover the operations, as well as "Armageddon Ost" and the ever reliable "Armour Battles of the Waffen SS" by Wil Fey. This title has an over view of the ops, as well as some first hand accounts.

I hope your VISA isn't full. :thumb:

Thanks guys!

There are some interesting titles here. I checked out amazon and they have most of them, some expensive ones for sure! The Armageddon Ost and the Armor Battles are reasonable though at less then $25 each, so will start with those.

Thanks again guys!
