Nice box art by Doug Jameson :thumb:
I'm just wondering about the asymmetrical turret bin. Anyone got more info on it?

Hey Lawrence, I'm at work right now and can't access network54 forums, but when the new Pz III J originally came out Tom Cockle posted about this on the ML Axis dg. The shape of the turret bin apparently has to do with where the pistol ports are located and how the port cover swings open. If you do a search on the dg it should turn up.
Best,
Mike

Hiya Mike
Thanks! I found the thread on ML and read it. To be honest, it's something that I never noticed before. I just had a look at the turret bin from Tamiya's Pz III Ausf L and it also has the correct asymmetrical shape. It's been there all the while and it didn't occur to me to check.
Which leads me to ask why DML make a mention of it when it's not something new? Or did the old DML Pz III kits have incorrectly shaped bins?

Like you I had never reallly noticed it before, but the old kits did not have this feature (as far as I know), so that, and the fact that Dragon likes to toot their own horn, letting everyone know what they've done with their slide molds, you know how that goes. :)
Cheers,
