Does anyone have a clear close-up of the bracket for the exhaust muffler on a Pz III Ausf M? I don't need photos of the muffler just the bracket that attaches it to the upper rear hull.

I have seen pics of Munster Pz III Ausf M before restoration but the pics are not that clear.

Thanks
Lawrence

Hi lquah good to see back and posting. Any pics of 'Nam? I have some pics of the Flammpanzer III at Munster. But are you saying the exhaust is not accurate for the war time vehicle I take it?

Hi James :)

I got lots of pics from Nam and will post them soon. How do I create thumbnails that you can click to go to a website?

I am working on an Ausf M type exhaust and the bracket for the muffler in the old DML kit looks to be quite crude and simplified. I just want to see what the real one looks like and see if there's room for improvement.

I have looked at museum and wartime vehicles and can't figure out the bracket as the muffler is in the way. So what I am looking for is photos of it getting restored, factory photos or where the muffler has been ripped off.

Well I look forward to the pics! Always wanted to go there... part of my youth was based around the war that took place there.:(

As for linking thumbs -you need to have two sized images- the big and small uploaded to a web storage place. I have my own at my website.
Sometimes software such as iPhoto or Photoshop allow you to make web pages that make thumbs and make a htlm page that controls the links- again you need to have space on the net to upload this package.

The button you use is up above the posting box -the globe and chain icon. Place the big picture at the front and in the link part put a thumb that is surrounded by the deal.

Here are some of the pics.

James,

You're da man!! :thumb: :thumb:

Those pics are exactly what I was looking for. The kit has a plate that glues to the rear hull and from the plate extends two J shaped arms for the muffler. Looks like it's a much simpler attachment in real life ( I assume that the restored vehicle is correct) and should be quite easy to scratchbuild.

I get what you are saying on the small and large pics. I will have a go at it tonight.

Thanks again

Lawrence, there is a freeware program called Irfanview that does much of it for you. http://www.irfanview.com/

This little program has "inner bigness". It will allow you to browse all the images in a directory, will generate thumbnails automatically, and you can save the page it creates to upload onto a web server (with the images). Painless, and the price is right.

Scott

Thanks for the tip :thumb: :) I have the software that comes with my camera that can do batch resizing.

James!!
I got me thumbnails done but the globe and chain icon only allows me to add on line of code??

The message box has two drop down options. The top let's you choose the type and the second let's you enter the URL link.

Can you give me the long code in text? :)

Never seen that before- I don't use Explorer. Anyone know? Or maybe just experiment Lawrence. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
