I seen the reviews on the perth, but no one sells there's stuff. Interesting products but where do you buy it as they got no dealer list on there home page also.

Hi,

As mentioned at the bottom of the reviews, the only shop I know of selling Griffon Models sets at the minute is Hobby Easy in HK.

I have emailed them three times regarding how, where to purchase their products.I guess they are really doing well and do not need my money as they have never responded.

I got mine from UML shop a couple of weeks ago.

Ted, it's likely that it's a language issue. I have dealt with some mainland chinese companies before and you have to use real simple english and even then they may not understand fully. I also found paying direct to a mainland chinese company to be quite troublesome.

To save the hassle, try Hobby Easy as Terry mentioned.

You are probably correct about the language difficulties.Never really thought about it as their site is all in English. Thanks for the tip on where to purchase Griffon products. One question.Has anyone used their p.e.?

Hi Ted

I picked up a few of the sets but have not used them yet. One of the sets I bought are the german tool clamps. They are closer in size to the real thing than Aber and come in a variety of shapes.

The whole clamp, bottom, top and the handle come in one piece which makes it easier to assemble. I haven't tried it yet but I have seen photos of it made up and they do look convincing.

The other sets do look very detailed especially the ammo holders for the M3 Lee. This also means that it will take time to build. Can't comment on the fit or how they solder together at the moment. Will update once I get round to it.

Unfortunately the Hobby Easy site only works with Internet Explorer 5.0 or above.
Something to do with the e-commerce software they are using.

It is the only site I use IE for with all other browsing using Firefox.

Hope that helps?

My internet explorer went away for some unknown reason.Just found it again about a half an hour ago,so off to Hobby Easy I go.Hey Lawrence thanks for the info and give those tool clasps a try,so I know if they are worth it or not.It is all about me and my money you know.If they do not work for you, they darn sure are not going to work for me.

Ted

Here's the instructions and PE fret for the clamps. They are more accurate size wise than Aber. Nice thing about this set is that you get 4 types of clasps.

I did a quick assembly of two of them. My first impression is that it is very slightly "tougher" to bend than Lion Roar/Voyager. Having the top and bottom in one piece saves a lot of time and is quite easy to assemble. The only fiddly part is attaching the handles to it (or maybe it's my fat fingers!)

I haven't glued the handles and they should be positioned more in line with the top bit. The pic is not very clear. I will put up better pics a bit later in the week.
