I was kinda thinking I need to cut back a little on spending in regards to this hobby. I already have more kits than I will ever build. How much do you guys spend a week and/or per month?

Nada...but being in college, I really wanna save what I can...plus who the heck am I kidding? I don't have time for this...I have work, school and various extracurricular commitments (namely clubs/orgs, girls, etc)...maybe, someday, when i'm an old fart...though it's hard to imagine any time soon :p
At least everything is in storage (I.e. my room at my parents home)...which actually works out because being in a frat = property loss and/or destruction....

With a wife and two sons, hobby money is hard to come by. Right now my "stash" is only about six kits (an exciting recent development and a different discussion), and all I need is the occasional paint, glue, styrene, figure, dio base, etc to finish them off. So, I'd say about $15/mo.
That average maybe drastically changed if you include the approx $300 I spend each year at events like AMPS, etc to stock up on books, tools, figures, the random bargain kit, etc.

I spend around $100 per month. However, whenever I go to shows, i'll spend around $300

I spend way too much and not enough. I, like many people, have a sizable stash that will not be built in my lifetime unless I start to build faster. Currently I finish about 6 models a year yet I buy in the neighborhood of 6 to 10 kits per month.
I have a disease.

:oabout $200 a month and more if I come accross some extra cash. I need to cut back......... i think it is driven by missing Kits that go out of production. When you wanted to build [in the past] it wasn't always available - Dragon seem to be doing a bit of this lately.
Trouble is I buy planes too, as well as sci-fi and books!
Is this the same driver for others?
TIGER KITS AND PREMIUM KITS ALL LISTED AS OOP.

The thing is- even if you miss the Tiger kit and premium kit-something improved shows up later anyway....God - I have it way worse than you guys....that is I am sicker and spend more. A lot more- I'm depressed....:o:(

I can't really say how much I spend each month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I all depends what the LHS has and what I really want. I have avoided buying just for the sake of getting a new kit. I only pick up a kit that I have a plan with and intend to build, not to keep as a collectors item or just for the curiosity of how it looks in person. I usually try to take more money to shows, because sometimes the coolest stuff pops out there.
If you really want some amount, then I would say that the minimum appears to be one kit a month as an average.
A hell of a lot!:D:D:D
Seriously,Im not telling, maybe my parents will see....:DMarek, you can buy all you want, but if you don't pick them off at the post office they don't count!:D;)

It depends, I think around 200- most for books and reference stuff.
I try to resist all the new kits and buy just my favourite ones...

Probably about 10-20 each month on different paints/brushes I dont have since Im always planning out my next project. But when you add the initial acquisition into airbursh, supplies, etc. boy its a whole lot more in the long term....

My average should €15-20 per month. The latest expense has benn of about €15 to get a zimmerit applicator and a German engine set from Lucky Model, which has been shipped yesterday.

I would say an average of 200.00 a month. This month it has been closer to 500. The bottom line is like you James, way too much. I think I am going to make it a goal to not spend any of my own money on the Hobby next month (my birthday is next month so I will allow my wife to spend her money on my hobby).

I'm cutting down a bit, but still it is around €100,- / €200,- a month, including the books, magazines and paints I 'need' :o
I stoped buying impulsive stuff (the exception being the Cyber hobby limited run kits which are hard to come by sometimes) so the stash is getting less.
I tend to buy a lot second hand, and re-sell some stuff I bought earlier which on second thought doesn't get build anyway. 'Policy' in this is simple: if it is on the shelf for longer then a year you probably won't build it after all ;)
The money from the re-sold kits gets turned into other kits (that probably will be sold one year later :p )

Well I think I belong to the Maveric buying group. I tend to buy much in batches. For example I have bought 1 Panther, Bison decals, Friul tracks, RM figur, Tristar figure set, Aber etchet, Ospray book, Atak and Zitadele mantel in one occation. The price are rather hight becouse I tend to buy all in bursts not spread out. So per month...gosh perhaps for maximum 100 dollars I guesss?

I've been spending around $350 to $500 a month. I don't buy much plastic kits as I don't have enough storage space for them. Most of my purchases are AM stuff, like Aber, Voyager, Legends etc etc..And the items that have the biggest impact on my spending are books. I am a sucker for hardcover books and anything new.
