Hello,
Here's my too old project with Tamiya 251/1 and some extras. I've been building this every now and then. Maybe I started it too ambitiously as my skills weren't up to the challenge 5 years ago:) Well, ain't that great even yet but I'm trying hard...

Well, hopefully you can see what is happening in pics. My camera isn't best possible for close-ups.
I'll send more pics as this project comes along.

pic 251_1
Here you should see hull without a floor and interior plates added. There will be Part's floor and floor boxes.

251_belly
Some rivets added and details made.

251_wall
Interior plate added. Afterwards I noticed a mistake I made. There should not be holes where are lifting lugs. Perhaps I change plates. Difficulty is that wall isn't really thin but Tamiya thinned only upper part of wall.

251_floorbox
First time I tried soldering and it works pretty well. More practice needed anyway:) Trick is to sand glossy surface from parts first.

251_fenders
Well, this was the most difficult part that actually has stalled the whole project. I wanted to scratchbuild fenders with lead foil. Here the original part has been measured and layout drawn to paper.

251_floorbox_2
Floorbox sanded and ready to be folded.

251_stowagebox
Eduard's stowagebox installed(correct word here?). You may notice that box is a BIT crushed. This was intentional:)

251_parts
Part floorplate and some folded Royal Model parts.

To be continued....

Hey nice work! It's too bad you can't store your pics somewhere that you can link to tem and have them show up- it takes quite an effort fpr lazy old me to switch back and forth from your discriptions and the photos. :( Gordy has this site for example http://www.kitpic.com/ Also you should check with your service provider-there is usually some strage space provided for you that you can FTP stuff up to and then link to.

Hi,
thanks and I'm working on it:) I'm uploading pics to my homepage so I can link directly. And I tried to connect to Gordy's suggestion but for some reason couldn't connect. Anyway more pics coming soon:)

After a while I have energy and time to update this project here. I have done some painting to it but there is still a long way to go. Here are some pics at the current situation.

I painted model with Humbrol mix to Dunkel Gelb. I'm showing now just some detail pics of model that really is in halfdone state.
