Suggestions for net camouflage

I am planning on adding some net cammo with leaves etc to my King Tiger, but I am not sure what to use, I have not found anything that fits the bill. Does anyone have experience building this. I want to have it draping from the barrel so PE is obviously out.

Cammo nets can be tricky, but there is a simple tip I use that works great. The closet thing I have seen to a cammo net is the gauze you use for dressing wounds.

Take the gauze and soak it in a mixture of water and white glue. I use about 25% and 75% respectively. Take it and let the excess of the mix drip, but don’t let it dry. Now place it where you want it and you can shape it easily. Once it dries it will have the desired shape. Then you can paint it.

You can add leaves by simply gluing some flock on top of the gauze when dry.

You can use that stuff you find at weddings. I not sure what it's called, it's usually on the tables in the flower arrangements.. some sort of plastic netting. Probably can find it at Michaels, or someplace that carries th at sort of thing.

I have absolutely no experience with this country but I saw this in a news item on another forum and I have to say that these nets are probably the best I have ever seen avaiable in this scale. Might be worth checking out

Hi Robert,
What I use is cheese cloth. It's a little bit looser than gauze, but the effects are great. I used it wrapped around the barrel of my King Tiger and as camo netting for the barrel of my Pak 40 gun. Go with Sturmann's suggestion of using the white glue and water. This way it takes the shape of whatever you're trying to camouflage. Here are my two examples:

I like the Tech Star net the best. Not so dense as gauge for 1/35.
Even as they come predyed its better if you enchance the dye youreself.

KT is right,
Cheesecloth works nicely for netting. I like the old school gauze bandage material best myself, it provides a larger square.
