Does anyone know, or have any color pictures that show the interior color of the king tiger. The model will be sealed, except for the commander poking his head out and shouting at people (hmm don't they always seem to do that!), but I will know its there and I want to get it directionally correct. I am modeling the Dragon KT in the Ardennes, if that helps.
Thanks in advance :)

I suppose the only thing which will be visible is the hatch interior. I think it should be depicted in the base colour of the tank, if visible. If not, I think it should be left in Red-Oxyde Primer.
Somebody definitely knows it better than me!

My two cents... If you are just going to have the figure in the hatch then by all means do it in a dark color. No inside of tanks are not painted black, but when one looks into it color is not visible... unless the tankers have the party lights on. If you are doing an interior then do some research on the colors. In all the shows I have judged the darker color make the best static model. Hope thaat helps.

Red Oxyde was applied on the turret's floor and on the bottom half of the hull. The rest was white with the visible sides of the hatches painted on the hull's main camo color. Sometimes the interior of the hatches was painted in red oxyde.
In your occasion, paint the interior black.

Also the whole interior was left with Red Oxyde in the late models, due to the lack of constraction time.
