Hi!
I'm getting some USMC figures ready for a diorama that will include an M3a1 Stuart. Any idea which colors in the Model Master or Tamiya range I should use for the USMC fatigues? I'm kind of new at this. Thanks for your help.
Cheers,

Go Steve Go!! The more USMC models the better. I would recommend a base coat of RAF Interior Green (#2062) and mix in a little IJA Light Gray (#2115) for the hilites and use straight RLM 74 Grau Grun (#2084) for the shadow work.
These are all Testors Modelmaster II Colors.

Hey Stephen, just wanted to know if you were going to paint the fatigues in Marine Corps green or the patch camouflage used during the Iwo Jima invasion?

Go to a paint store and look under Behr indoor paints; their Sage Green is dead-on. My wife found this while redecorating my office. A quart will give you enough to do USMC uniforms for twenty years or so.....

"....or the patch camouflage used during the Iwo Jima invasion?"
The sold green was the P1941 HBT Sage Green uniform. The camo pattern was the P1942 uniform. Both were in common use - often mixed - or the rest of the war.
