Anyone have any opinions on the new iMacs? I'm thinking of splurging.

I've seen a couple of reviews in the paper here, so far opinions have been positive. Let's face it, there's no way it can be worse then Vista

Looks nice!
And, as Fletcher said, you won't be experiencing any Vista related trouble!

good choice on machine, though if you can cover the extra go for the 24". The screen is much better, and larger. Also don't drop any money on ram upgrade from Apple. Not that they are not good, just expensive. Check out -www.macsales.com, good service and great prices. Also check out a external HD for back-up, and use with 'TimeMachine' in Leapord. Please do not use USB. Either FW400 or FW800. OWC as great prices on external drives.

I have had an office full of Macs for fifteen years and I have never looked back. I would suggest ramjet.com for very reasonably priced ram. Double check that you can do the installation. Mac won't install 3rd party ram.
I also agree that the 24-incher is the bomb. I like the new machines as they have a lot more legs that the earlier units. I have used some CPUs for 10 years! You should have it for many years to come.
Good luck.
