Hi James,

It is a village sign. The village name is Reduty.

What is of interest is that the Polish Chicken (white eagle) is missing the crown (which would date it to pre-war). Under General Government, and post war under the communists, the eagle lost its Royal crown.

The signs are usually red and white (national colors) and the two arrows are pointing in the direction of the nearest destinations of interest while stating distances. 'Do' in Polish means 'to' so, do Nowy Jorkem is to New York.
