I have badgers 100, 150 and 200 airbrushes. I use a badger compressor too. But, i think its time for an upgrade, both in airbrushes and a new quieter compressor. What would you suggest?

Sound off people! I want to know what you all use.

Thanks

Nick

I'm using a Thayer & Chandler Omni 4000 airbrush. It's basically a Badger 150, but is gravity fed, with a permanently mounted color cup. For a compressor, I use a basic Delta unit I picked up at Home Depot for $75Cdn. Nothing fancy, but it's got a 2gal reserve, so I can paint in silence for quite a while before I need to have the compressor kick in to fill it.

I use a Tamiya sprayworks compressor, Tamiya HG Superfine and Tamiya Badger 250C...... Tamiya is cheap in Japan.....

Harder & Steenbeck Evolution silverline and sill-air quiet compressor.
I used to work with a badger 150, but compared to the evo it is a gardenhose :D

As Jan I use a Harder & Steenbeck Evolution silverline (0.2mm + 0.4mm) and the compressor is an Iwata smart jet pro.

I use an Iwata Revolution and a tank of compressed CO2.

I just recently started using compressed air and I'm sold on it. The air is completely dry, and the only noise is the hiss from the brush.

The Revolution is almost idiot-proof (that's why I bought it) - operation and cleanup are simple.

I use a Mr Procon Boy WA Platinum which has only just arrived, Tamyia HG super fine and an Iwata copy. I also have a Badger which is siphon feed the others a gravity feed. The asian airbrushes - two Japenese and one Taiwanise are good quality and very good value for money. Regarding air source I now have an Iwata smart jet pro which is very good, very quiet.

I use an Aztek and an el cheapo compressor, but this weekend is our state hobby show, so who knows after the weekend ? My Aztek has just started leaking air somewhere inside - anybody have any ideas ?

I use a small Revell compressor, that needs to run all the time. It gives a steady airflow, but the pressure drops when opening the valve to airbrush.

I have two airbrushes, one Revell bottom feed external mix brush, kind of a learning device. The second I am currently using, is a Revell gravity feed internal mix brush.

It seems to be actually a Vega 1000 copy. It is important to note, that Revell really doesn't make their own brushes, but actually copies them from other manufacturers. The compressors are copies too. The reason they are worth getting, is that the spares are easy to get in Europe and they are with an OK price too...at least in Europe.
