I'd like to know your techniques of applying zimmerit on the Tiger I. Did you apply the zimmerit before OR after you glue all of the tools on the tank such as the shovel, fire extinguisher, hooks, and stuff like that?
If you apply the zimmerit after gluing all the tools, how did you sneak in those small area to apply the zimmerit?
Thanks,

I used Bondo red automotive putty before the do dads. First a dab on the plastic and then used a razor blade to make a thin coat. Then used a small jewlers screwdriver to make the divits. I then bought the Tamiya zmmerit tools but before I could use the I bought some ATAK resin and now I will never go back. If you look in Airconnection under resin you can see what it looks like. Very very nice stuff in deed. Hope that helps. :)

Hi,
Atak stuff in 35 scale is way to go if you want to take shortcuts:) I'll add some pics of my Panther to vbench to be checked out.
When using Atak, first use sandpaper to roughen and thin resin parts as inside of parts is very slippery. This way you ensure that parts bond very well and look good. I didn't thin my set and it doesn't look perfect.
