75mm PaK 40 AFV 1:35

Hello :)

I've just finished painting this kit. It was quite a fast one - three days of work...
I generally don't like artillery, but the AFV's "Night Fighting Group" kit contains PaK, so I decided to build it and check some new techniques on it. Because of that I build this one OOB - expect of the DML's muzzle break and the AFV's shield bolts :D

I've painted it using Model Master enamels and Citadel acrylics. Weathering was done with oils and Talens pigments.

What 'new techniques' did you use?

First time I've used a Mr.Surfacer as a basecoat and I've tried to make some rain marks, stains and pinwashes using dots of the oil paint. Also, I've tried to mix pigments with the water, but I'm not really pleased with the effect.
I've used the graphite from a pencil on the shovel too- and first time I like the look of it :)

After all I've added a few drops of the the Glosscote to Model Master matt varnish - I didn't like deep dull look of their mattcote.
