Hey James
I just bought this myself. I've always liked the TNHP. It is perhaps my favourite tank of the period, and am very much looking forward to building it. In years gone by I spent many hours sweating and bleeding over the Italaerei kit, and this will be a welcome change.

Pitty the link to the scans and sprue shots is not working for me... I'm really curious about the sprue shots of this kit.

Oh well I see that that link is no longer valid. I'll take some shots and post them.:thumb:

I'm going to attempt a comparision build with this kit, Tristar's and the older Maquette Panzerkampfwagen 38(t). I may or may not use the Griffon update sets for the Dragon kit, although I am leaning toward it. I may also try the Tristar interior set as well, (for the Tristar kit). While a comparison, stock, straight out of the box, may be more exactly correct for comparisons - that is, for example, Dragon's kit comes with an interior and the Tristar doesn't, nor does the Maquette kit. There are aftermarket solutions to this though. I feel it would be better for modeller's reading these pages to have a broader exposure to as many products available out there. I think I may have a CMK interior back in the closet somewhere too that may get used in the Maquette kit as well as some Aber updates, which I have for the Tristar kit as well.

Go for it James. This is one of my favourite tanks. I have a DML Ausf G on hold whilst I finish building the Red Army, and I have a Tristar Ausf B on the way, so I will be interested in seeing how you deal with the different challenges each kit presents.
Cheers

Sounds nice James :thumb:. Already now I can reveal that there ought to be some differences in the lenght of the hull between DML and Tristar kits. It has to be so, as the Eduard fenders for the Tristar kit does not fit the DML kit, they're simply too long :yell::yell::yell:.

James,
I am looking forward to your comparrison, so I can decide which one to get. Does Dragon have an interior?

Sometimes I worry/wonder about you Larry:confused::rolleyes:
Dragon's kit comes with an interior and the Tristar doesn't

I have had the DML kit on my bench for a while, although I haven't done much more than the basic assembly of the hull. (I've been working on T-34s.) Then today, the mailman brought me Tristar's #026, the PzKpfw 38(t) Ausf B, which I plan to build as a vehicle from Rommel's 7.PzDiv in France, 1940. I really like the DML kit, and it will be interesting to see how the Tristar kit compares.
James, I will watch this vBuild with great interest as I muddle through my own.
Cheers, and Happy New Year
