Mate, here we are trying to make our models look weathered and you are going against the grain by making old banged up vehicles look brand new. What's up with that? :p ;) :D :D

Ruben i will keep you guys updated on my progress /SBS rebuilds
James you should feel bad the three trucks cost less than your dora and the carrier only cost a little bit more .:p
Lawrence the best way to learn to weather a vehicle it to try and reverse the process . :D Besides i have lots of reference for weathering now .

James you should feel bad the three trucks cost less than your dora and the carrier only cost a little bit more .:p
Well, that's for starters, I was thinking more about the money that you must be having to spend to bring those vehicles up to any kind of running order.

Jeebus, Plushy!
I think you're going to need a lot of Scotch Brites to bring back Mr Loyd.
Did you win Tattslotto? :)

Nice one Plushy.. there are still too many vehicles like this rotting on farms around the world. Good find on the Lloyd Carrier, interesting dozer modification. I did a bit of research on the Universal Carrier mods done by the Strickland firm post war. This is where they cut them down for use as expedient farm tractors. Looks like the Lloyd was a similar, perhaps local, mod.

I'd put them out on the front lawn first, just to see what they would offer you to hide 'em out back... you could make all of your money back :D
You still see a lot of WWII modified rigs in the mountains and woods around here from the days when we still had small independent operations - and the fire crews used to use them a lot as well. More and more they end up behind some relic barn or shed looking like those beauties of yours.
How long to get them parade ready?

Thanks for the nice words Fellas .
Sheeds you will know when i win Tatts there will be a pair of centurions out the front . :D
The First Truck to be Restored will be the Truck in the Third photo is a 1943 F15A Cab 13 4x4 Blitz [CMP if your canadian ] it should take around 12 months maybe less depending on sourcing parts the second truck in the photos is a donor vehicle for parts .
The Truck in the First photo is a F60L and is a Cab 12 this will take me a few years to restore as alot of parts are hard to find .
The Loyd carrier will take even longer simply because its armor plate and everything is bloody heavy but hope fully it will be running and moving in less than 2 years and finished a few years after that .
Paul my neighbours hate me already as i work in the shed making noise at all hours :)
Brian i have seen alot of the Strickland carriers they are hard to restore so are mainly usefull for spare parts .
i will post more photos as i progress .

When you can, could you post some close-up pics to show the weathering and rusting on them. Everything is all shiny and new in this part of the world. Would be real helpful as reference.
