Hi all!
I will start my last thread before I go to Denmark and then Switzerland.
Before I go I hope I can start on my Panther A early. This will be depicted as the one of the 5 panthers at Mondaye 1944. You might reccon Gerda that was in this group. I was thinking of making Christel as this was an early A. If it becouse to hard I will switch over to the 225 at Lingevres becouse here I got a turret number anyway. The barrel much be change into an aftermarket becouse with todays standard I feel it´s dumb of me not to make a use of the offerings.
Here is my puchase list:
Model: DML Panther A early ( On the way )
Barrel: Aber
Tracks: Friul
Trackpins: Adlersnest
Commandercupola: Mori
Detailset: Aber

It´s a heafty list. Some parts might be purchased when I come back home at late October. But before I go I will start the zimmeriting when I get my model. Tracks might be purchased at the last stage. The trackpins and cupola will be purchased at the same time becouse they will be send from Germany. The rest will be picked up in Sweden.

I will surely miss the modeling when I am in Switzerland long way from my Pernilla and Idun =O(

Cheers!

Hi Ebbe,
sounds like an interesting project. You do know the vehicle on the picture is Elna and does not have Zimmerit? Nor is this picture taken at Mondaye. Otherwise just get building.
Personnaly I'd build 225, because it's probably the most well known and photgraphed early A. But that's jus me.
If you are looking for a new barrel I can recommend the Armorscale offering.

And now get building ;)

Jpz4: Yes I know the picture I included is not the Panther but it is Elna taken at the same time Ursula was put out of action by the americans way later than Mondaye and 225 and the one at Mondaye had zimmerit Elna did not have any and it makes it rather unike.
But I do find this unit rather interesting becouse of the variation of the Panthers here.
I like the names on the barrel retainer just a nice detail. If I know my self I might go for the 225 :O) Thanks for the tip about Armorscale barrel!

Erik: We will stay at Lönstrup for a week. Nice relaxation before I will work more or less constantly for 60 days :O)
Is this very far from Aarhus? If I remember correctly Aarhus is in the middle of Jyllands northen part? The drawback with the vaication is that there might be no modelshop in the nearby =O(

You might be thinking of Ålborg as this city is in the middle of northern jylland. In lønstrup I'm afraid you wont find any hobbyshops, in Ålborg maybe. Have a nice vacation. What kind of work will you be doing in Switzerland?

I will do a work for MOWAG GmbH same company that produce Pirahna and Stryker. It will be about the buisness system and how to work with the suppliers for MOWAG. Hope I don´t get my head choped off after I have done my time there by the manager =O)

Okay I will continue this thread now instead of the Lingevres 225 thread.
I have painted the turret and attached the turret numbers that comes from Echelon.
The kit will be rather basic as I turn my attention more to the finish not the detailings.
The figures are half done. It will be one commander and one...officer? I am not sure how I will do with the display base. Either free from ground work or a simple road and perhaps a wall on one side showing the tank near Lingevres.
Okay time to continue my work on my second love =O)
Cheers!

Okay now I got the computer again. So let´s show some pictures. I have tried some figures with the tank. The shots is not the latest but I will load up more on monday becouse I will work tomorrow all day so I have not got that much time right now.
I have taken some pictures of the wheels, commander and officer.
