I just wanted to say thankyou to James for all his help with regards to shooting pics with the ole Camera.

My new camera had Manual Settings, that I had no clue what they did, or how to change em.. lol I'd heard of those ISO and Fstop things before, sort of heard what they did.. but had no concept of where they should be set, and also, I was confused on how to change some of the settings.

Well, James proved that you can teach an old Dog New Tricks.. I now know what kind of settings to use, to get the best results, especially with regards to issues I was having with lighting.

I know a lot of us learn a lot about modeling here, but thanks to James, I learned a lot about Camera's too..

Thanks again!!

Charlie

As Charlie knows I am struggling with the same thing. I can't seem to get decent pics although I think my recent batch is better. Can't afford to get a new camera either so the 2 Kodaks I will will have to do (DC265 some manual settings and a DX4900 no manual settings ).

actually- these had to be fixed up in a photoshop type program to be displayed. The biggest issues is the use of the flash- a real no-no. and the cropping was off.
