Hey there,
this is a build i started for a good friend of mine who wanted a Leopard 1.
As i got some projects on my workbench that need a lot of research and i needed a break from them, it was ok for me to start with it.

The modell is Tamiyaīs old Leopard 1A4.
Itīs a pretty nice kit, but it misses some details. As i didnīt want to spend much time with it (and it was ok for the customer) i didnīt add them.
The details are for example the ice cleats on the frontal armor which usually all A4 carried.

All i added were the chains on the smoke dischargers, made from thin wire.

I primed the whole modell with grey acrylic as a primer and did some (hard to see on the pics) preshading with black acrylic paint.
After that i mixed the typical Gelboliv (yellowish olive), which the Bundeswehr used until they chose to use the Nato three tone, from ModelMaster Enamels.
Next step were some Postshades (the Gelboliv bleached very fast as many vehicles were parked outside).
Next steps will be some washings and some filters as i want a used look on this Leo.

So, here are the pics of the painted and sealed modell:

Looks nioce - shading is great! Are you gonna tone down the shine, or is it in parade paint?

Hey John,
thank you very much!

The shine is because of the future i applied for the decals and the weathering, i will give him a flat coat when iīm finished with it.
