These pictures were taken around 1992 or '93 in Berlin Germany. After the (infamous) drawdown of the 90's and the Berlin Brigade drew down, a Leopard 2 unit moved into the city. No idea if they are still around or not though. Anyway, they had an open house and I went there and took these pics. Afew things to note,
In the first pic, that's me in the turret ( JC, I couldn't resist putting this pic in ;) )
The pic of the track I noticed, unlike American track, that the inside of it is natural metal. Look at the bright rust.
The last pic ( I think) is when a group of Russian officers showed up and started looking at the Leo 2. Just thought a bunch of Russians climbing on a Leo 2 was neat.
I know that most of you want pics of a Leo2A5. I'm sorry. I just don't have them and probably will never get them with me on the down hill side of my time in the Army. There are a lot of details though which are common to bothe the A4 and the A5. Anyway, save them to your puter and enjoy!
