Good start! I think that a skybow kit with PE, if you gassed em up would run! The detail is amazing, and you complain about your eye site!
LOL
I know, I know.. I'm a slow putz...
Got some more engine work done... will have to remove to paint... lol waste of time, considering it will be covered!
this is my first Skybow kit.. I was raving about the detail of AFV with the LEFH18... but with this kit!!! AFV Detail.. with AWSOME FIT!!... lol getting spoiled!! This model goes together like a dream... I may have to get another skybow kit!

Wow Charlie, don't know how I missed this one! That engine looks fantastic.
I'm not a lover of Allied softskins by any means, but this looks great. :)

Charile,
it's getting along nicely:) Can you say how is fit of the parts compared to Tamiya, DML, Academy etc?
I'm not either much Allied softskin fan but appreciate a good kit when I see one:)

looks like the same plastic that is in the AFV Club 251? Soft almost like soapstone?
That engine looks way too clean.
a lil more.. sorry I'm so slow... lol family just steals too much time! ;-)

LOL..you're faster than me Charlie!! I haven't touched a model in over a month!
:(
Great looking progress, I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.
tried out Soldering.. got inspired from everyone's work!! Specially Mr. Tainton's 251/9 build... this is definately something I'm gonna keep trying and hope to get better with.. seems a lot better than Super Glue for boxes and stuff like that with regards to photo etch... The article on
WW2 Model Maker (http://www.ww2modelmaker.com/articlepub/ESsodht.htm) was very helpful

it'll get easier and easier as you do it more- you'll end up not wanting to do it any other way eventually. I wish they could come up with brass armour plating-all you'd need are the wheels in plastic...if I had the money....I'd develope it myself.

Looking good on your WC-51 Beep, Charlie !! Those dasboard gages look awesome. That last pic of the vehicle without the wheels on it, shows off all your hard work.
Can't wait to see the finished product :)
Cheers !!
