Nice photo James, From my guess if you look at the right fender in the picture you see the division mark. To mee it looks like the oak leaves from the 1st SS Panzer Division Adolf Hitler. But it's only a guess I am not 100% sure.

To me it looks like a shield with a diagonal line and a sword- hmmm.

Enlarged it and tried to clean it up some. But it's a bit too pixelated to be of much good:

Doesn't look like quite "right" to be the symbol of the 1st SS, but not positive.

Hi Panzerfaust,

Nice pic of the Pz IV. Looks like a model H, and yes those are Ostketten tracks.

As for the unit marking. I checked all my resources and it looks like a 1st SS Pz Div marking. Probably drawn on by a crewmember. so it looks kind of makeshift. No other markings from Pz Div's or SS Pz Div's looks like this.
