Hi Guys, :)

Next I like start to build the Tamiya's T-72M1, if it is possible I like to see pictures about the Iraq's T-72M1 in action, I like to situate it in the Gulf War 1, earlys 90 years.

Thanks for your helps in advanced.

Best Regards All,

Joaquin

Hmm, check out that turret, that's a T-54/55, not T-72.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j263/lquah/Photos%20T-72/nia-1mech-bde_arcent050131.jpg

And that thing (some type of engineer vehicle?) is also based on T-54/55 chassis, Type 69(?) in background.

For a truly accurate T-72M1, it would be worth it to replace the turret with the Blast or JS-Models one. There was a good article in MMIR a while ago, have to dig it up.

You are right on both counts ;) In my haste I did not check the photos in my PC folder.

Miniarm also does some nice conversions. They are not cheap but their stuff is very nice.

None is a t-72M1 but rather plain M or A.

If you want to use Tamiya´s turret, at least delete the extra armour of the hull´s front. You could also correct the first box on the fender; it should open as all the others.

------

Saludos,

Antonio

I thought the T-72M1 is the export version on the T-72A with thicker armor.

Check out Charlie Pritchett's awesome build:
http://panzermodelling.com/foros/viewtopic.php?t=73
Iraqi's had at least 3 versions in the '91 war I believe, the T-72B (or whatever it's called, no smoke grenade launchers on turret), the T-72M and T-72M1's.
edit: D'oh, of course Joaquin has seen it! Might be useful for others though.

Hi All! :o

You are a really great friends, I'm completely impressed with your answers, yes, I'm very influenced with the Charlie Pritchet's work in my forum, like Jim says ( http://panzermodelling.com/foros/viewtopic.php?t=73 , also this modest personal forum is open to all, you will be welcome).

And like Charlie says, the T-72 from Tamiya, are a good model to made it OOB with a paint work desert, this matter is like I search, I was painted a Challenger, and is very interesting this kind of works for me:

Thanks all again :thumb:

Estimado Antonio, por ahi van los tiros, hacer una maqueta de caja, con alguna mejora menor, y disfrutar de la pintura, de todas formas si te das una vuelta por mi forum, verás que el bueno de Charlie, no desmerece en nada la maqueta de Tamiya, de todas formas, me gustaria que me sugirieras todo lo que creas conveniente para tenerlo en cuenta con el modelo. Saludos y Gracias. ;)
