Here is a question for all you computer smart people.
-Why is the ”Remember Me” option not working on my home computer? I have to log in every time I want to view a different thread.
For example: I log in, go to the “vBench” section and click on “New Posts.” I click on any of the new posts and everything is fine. I can see all the pages in that thread. Problem starts when I want to go back to the list of the new posts and see another one. I have to log in again.
I do not have this problem on my computer at work or with any other forum. I have entered my name and password on my work computer months ago and it still works.
Any suggestions? Just please use plain and simple English. My computer expertise is restricted to moving and clicking the mouse.
Thanks

If your system is like mine, you can only view "new posts" once. Then they are "old posts" get it? If you want to see the posts you need to go to "quick links" and select "Active topics in the last day"
Hope that helps. :thumb:

Log in and bookmark the page.
That should do the trick.
If you bookmark - and then log in, you have to do it everytime you come to visit. I found out the hard way.

But this still does not explain why I am being "logged out" and have to sign in again.
Log in and bookmark the page.

Bookmark, bookmark..... boy this was a lot easier in the good old days. Just bend a corner of the page and your done.
Time to do some computer learning.
Thanks guys. We will see if this works..

You might have your PC set to reject cookies. That would explain it.

Fletcher is right, cookies (they aren't the nefarious bad things the media makes them out to be) cookies remember where you have been, links you have clicked on, etc..

If it was a cookie problem wouldn't that effect all forums and accounts?
Planet Armor and Planet Figure are the only sites (so far) that I have this automatic "log out" problem. Someone at work suggested upgrading Windows to version 7. I will try it as soon as I get home.

Problem solved! (I hope)... well it works so far.:thumb:
You were right it was a cookie. Had to go to TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS/PRIVACY/PER SITE PRIVACY ACTIONS. For some unknown reason Planet Armor and Planet Figure cookies were blocked.
Wow! I have learned so much about computers today. My brain is full....:)
Thank You all!!
