Hi Guys,
I am hoping some one can help me here. I am chasing a pic or information on the cast lettering on the Petard Mortar on the Churchill AVRE. The Legends kit sadly lacks this detail and I would like to add it to my Build. Not having access to an actual vehicle or being able to see what the letters actually are in any of my reference pics I hope some one here can help.

Mic, I can't get there before next weekend, but I live about 10 mins from the RE Museum and I'm sure there is one sitting outside. Need to check if it has the mortar still on it, but I'm sure I can get some useful shots for you. Been meaning to go back for ages, so this is a good excuse :thumb:

That would be fantastic. I am almost finished the build and this is one of the last little niggly details holding me up....

G'day Mic.
I had the chance to drive by the museum today and make a very brief stop. Mixed news realy.
The AVRE outsude is a later 1954 to 63 version that mounts a 4.5" breech loading gun for demolition charges, so not the Petard you need. However, I know I have seen one there and will make enquiries during the week. It may well have been moved inside one of the halls. A number of the vehicles outside were covered up for winter, and it may be the place is shut for the winter period, but I will find out and let you know.
There were a couple not covered up which are :-

And this monstrous amphibious beast which was retired quite recently :-

I'll get back to you during the week :)
