resicast sherman flail conversion

hi all,
after many years of waiting and looking for the resicast flail conversion, I have managed to get my hands on one:D

the question I have is, now I cant get the old dragon m4a4, that this kit was made for, is it possible to use the hull of the new dml firefly, and the turret of the tamiya early m4 :confused:

I know that this will mean a lot of cutting about to make the turret fit, but thats no problem as long as the hull is the correct one.

Any help and info would be a great help

Hi Malcolm: I don't see why the newer DML M4A4 or Firefly hulls won't work. If you're willing, you can even modify the DML Firefly turret to make it a "normal" 75mm turret -- just fill in the loader's hatch and the two notches at the turret bustle rear. Add a 75mm gun tube (since you'll use the resicast canvas covered mantlet anyways).

I have sorted the turret by putting the early tamiya turret top on to the firefly bottom, a little chopping, and body putty, fits like a glove, also good point about the canvas cover, never thought of that one!!!!
