GTA: Vice City ?

I've been stuck trying to figure out something....how in the world do you steal a tank?!?!?! There is one level in which I have to steal a tank from an armed convoy of soldiers...I can't stand up to the fire power of the convoy, even when I can make them mad, and get a single truck from the convoy to chase me, they waste me! lol

Some advice would be nice lol :cool:

ANyway got this from the net

"I'm on a mission from the Colonel: to liberate a piece of "military hardware" being transported through Vice City. In other words, I need to single-handedly steal a tank being guarded by a full military escort. Greaaaat.


After trying to take on the military head-on without much luck, a new approach is in order. I park my Cheetah in the convoy's path, find a hiding spot, and wait for the escort to arrive. When one of the soldiers tries to move the car, I blow it up with a few well-placed shots, taking a few soldiers in the blast, leaving a Patriot Humvee unguarded.

In the chaos, I run out and hop into the Patriot, roll over a few of the remaining foot soldiers, and ram another transport. As I bail out of the Patriot and get clear, a second explosion takes out both vehicles. With only one escort vehicle left, the driver of the tank bails, and it's only a matter of mopping up a few remaining soldiers before I can hop in the tank and drive a few short blocks to the Colonel's safehouse.

I haven't played it myself (apart for a few times at my friends place) but I will try to find out how my friend did it......oh, come to think of it, my friend had the playstation version. You have it on PC right?:confused:

Alright I beat it! I parked a car in front of the convoy and hid hear a building, then shot at the convoy with an MG from a previous mission, made them mad and they started driving around in circles near me, they all died as the soldiers were shot or I blew up their vehicle(s), then I stole the tank, got through the police chase (as well as the armys chase) and I got to the drop off point (a garage) just in time before the tank blew up (some sort of anti-theft device lol)

Am I right, if I say that the tank had big doors on the sides?:rolleyes: I remember something like that.:D

Yup. it's the one with the doors on the side (like a regular car lol :p )

That game is addicting! I wish I could play it tonight, but I can't :mad: Stupid Spanish test!

Ok ok. ive done this mission 5 times. drive a car infront of the tank and get out. the army will say 'please move you're car!' and some one will get in and move it and if you think about it you walk up to the tank hit tiragle and shock gasp horry you're in! and then you............................bizzzt not spoling it for you
