Hi
Do Ypou remember Yours first armor kit? My adventure with panzers was started many years ago with 1:76 krupp protze from matchbox. It was in the middle of '80. In that time it was very difficult to buy kits from 'western' in Poland. And yesterday I've collect that kit again.. it is big pleasure and big fun with make this again after ca 15 years:) Do You remember Yours first kit? Have Ypou done it again after some time?

I seem to remember back in the very early seventies making the motorized Panzer IV from Tamiya- There were those Monagram 1/32 kits as well.

Exactly, Panzerfaust!!!

And one of those was my first kit...The Monogram 1:32 Sherman.
What happened to the model? I don't know, but I'm sure that model infected me with the modeling bug, as well as with the Shermie-bug!

I'm lost forever...John.

Believe it or not, my first panzer kit was a 1:48 scale King Tiger by Bandai.

Ergo the screen name. ;)

My first military vehicle kit was the Monogram duce and a half back in the early sixties. My first armor kit was probably either the Monogram halftrack or one of their 1/48 tank kits (maybe the centerion).

Howdy fellas,

Wow....well, since I'm as old (or at least feel) as old as the dinosaurs, I think my very first kit was the 'Wheel'. I carved it out of stone with a set of Verlinden bronze carving tools and...........nah, just kidding. ;)

If I remember correctly, it was not a plastic kit at all, it was one of the old (I'm talking '50's) balsa wood and paper skinned Fokker Tri-planes. One of the large-scale beasties meant for actual flight. I built it up over a fairly lengthy period of time with my Da (father). It never flew, but it sure looked good!
A short time after that, we began building sailing ships (Cutty Sark, Bon Homme Richard, etc) all out of balsa and cloth, and ...one plank at a time.........

Tread.

I'd like to say "those were the days" with misty eyes, but, God bless technology as well!

Oops!....my apologies. You did say armour model didn't you? Hmmmm, that will take some thought........

My first armor kit? If I recall I believe it was either the Renwal Lacrosse, Hawk or M-50 Ontos. Back in the early 70's there wasn't much to choose from, mostly just Monogram, Renwal and Aurora.

My first armor kit was a Dragon Wagon towing a 50mm Howitzer. I must have been 9 or 10 years old and remember how hard it was to put together when the instructions were in Japanese!
