Hello again Guys...

I'm working on the Academy Panther G late version at the moment. At this time the tracks are put on...but they are so thick and stiff; the remain in their circular position.
Now gluing 'em to the roadwheels is out of the question, 'cos they are much too thick and stiff for that.
Do any of you geniusses have a tip for me, to obtain a natural sit, and some kind of sag for my @%$#^&* tracks???

Hope you can help me on this one, John. :( :(

Hi D'Wagon

I've got two suggestions: If the hull isn't attached you can tie the tracks down with fine sewing thread. You can also purchase some individual track links and create your own track sag. Tamiya makes them for the G version only and Modelkasten also makes them.

Hope these suggestions help.

Hey K.T.,

Thanks for your reply, but what I didn't tell you, was that my Panther G is in 1:25 scale....so, no A.M. tracklinks... .

Thanks for your time anyway, John. ;)

okay I hesitate to suggest these two ideas- if you screw it up you might blame me! :(
You have to be very careful here....maybe try soaking the tracks in hot tap water, (do not use BOILING water!!!)to make them more flexible, or maybe try a hairdryer on low heat to make them flexible.
In any case you need to be VERY careful not to overheat as the tracks may melt ... which is not good. Good luck and take some pics to show us.

Thanks for the tip, Panzerfaust. I will try this...but first I'll practice on an old piece of track, just to be on the safe side!!
It's still in progress, but I will post some piccies later!

Thanks again, John.
