Well, I told Lawrence Quah that I would post my Panzer IV kitbash as soon as there were no Pz IVs on that "Latest vBench Posts" bar over on the right, and always trying to be a man of my word, here goes!
I am going a kitbash of the DML Pz IV D and the Tristar Pz IV D, taking the best elements of both kits and melding them into one...

Ok, I'm back...
Here are some shots of my progress so far...pretty pathetic, like usual, I know :(
I have been wanting to use some AM items, like Aber fenders and their turret bin, but I have been waiting on those for a long while now from R&J Products, my usual source to AM items (can't beat their prices 95% of the time)
Front, left...still need to add some bumpers and such...
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a355/ramcke_jager/PzIVkitbash-02.jpg
Right side...You can see that I had to cut the armor and the applique armor of the DML kit to fit the Tristar kit...I still need to clean that up...still need to glue on some pieces on too...
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a355/ramcke_jager/PzIVkitbash-11.jpg
The front...I'm not to sure about where to place the MG applique armor...You can see the green that is filler too...I had to cut right there as the DML piece was slightly shorter, again lol

Turret interior...so far...more work needed here...need to add the CMK back rests and some other details...

Some shots of the gun...(had to use my ring on this one lol)

The PMMS review/kit comparison has been my guide on this...
Lower Hull (http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/misc/pz4d/pz4d.htm)
Upper Hull (http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/misc/pz4d/pz4d2.htm)
Turret (http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/misc/pz4d/pz4d3.htm)
I plan to make it as Pz IV D #811, as used by the DAK...I'd like to thank Lawrence Quah for the Bison decals...
Lawrence was also kind of enough to send me this book....excellent book by the way...
Model Art: Pz IV D Upgunned (http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/books/modelart/afv_vol1.htm)
If anyone could kindly post some shots of it (#811), that would be great...I ask because I have only two photos of it...the left back side in which you can see all the left side running gear (all early roadwheels, even the spare is an early roadwheel) and of the very back...I'd like a shot of the front and of the right side, if anyone happens to have it...thanks! (the links that Bison decals gives you to help with your tank(s) are just so-so, that's why I'm asking)
All comments are welcome...

haha...yeah...another one...I think it's just a phase lol I work on them all a little bit at a time (obviously lol)
Yes, this is more interesting...I started it just because really...I had a spare Tristar Pz IV D kit (I was going to scrap it and use it as possible future spare parts) and then after seeing the PMMS review dealies, I made up my mind to do a kitbash, but I should take a break from it...temporarily...I need to finish some much older things ;) (and I still haven't gotten my Aber order from R&J...they did send me some figs though lol)
Thanks Dan!
