Hi chaps,
I'm in the progress of building a Italeri M47 in Belgian Army Service. I checked already with the BE Forces webside but with no sufficient results.
IOT represent a correct BE Army M47 the following questions popped up.
1. For what period were M47 assigned to BE Armor BN? When were the last one withdrawn from ACTIVE service? According to my information M47 were assigned to reserve units till end of the 70-ties. The reserve units are not of interest for this project!
2. Do you have layout and detailed information in respect to correct markings? I found some information in the old OSPREY M47/M48 booklet but this doesn't deems completely to me. I'm interested in specific of the "Code tactique" for 1er Regt des Guides, 3ieme Regt/ 5ieme Regt/ 6ieme Regt des Lanciers.
3. Do you have information were this units were stationed than?
4. At the Belgian Army museum publication I found an articel dealing with the M47 of 1 Jageers te Paard stationed at Kassel/GE in the late 50ties. But this didn't provide valuable information.
Thanks for your assistance
