Hi again.

Well it's has been a while since I last posted so here is some update pictures
and a little explanation to them:

Last time I did not have any exhaust on the vehicle and the exhaust from VM is modelled like the one on the prototype, so I ordred an Moskit exhaust from AA in England they had a clearence sale, so I got it very cheap, -half price. :)

Here is to pictures when i had mounted it on the model, I really like their stuff, only problem is that it is very hard to get hold on... :(

I also made some small spare track holders one in the normal place in front and the other up under the turret- strange place..

Now here is a major jump I now has finished and assembled the whole underpart
and started on detailling and mounted the tolls and all the boxes on the upper part.
I still have to do a lot on the turret, but it will come soon.

This is the small box on the front left fender, the jack is a "the show modelling" item made for them by Tony Greenland it was a cast brass thing but by some reason it was very hard to handle but I succeded and used it here.

Another snapshot on the exhaust, the small notek light is a part on the update etch from Eduard.

I made a little field modifikation here because my vehicle was not equipped with
the large radioset it only had the little Fu5 in the turret. I then had an empty space where the antenna should have been, thats why..

On the right fender I made a home-made jackblock and I maybe put the jerrycan,
It's a Bego one-small beauties, there

I have replaced all the rivets on the hull top, since last time, the fire extinguisher is an Elefant item.

Front view the track color is an old Humbrol no 173 "Track color" sadly it's long oop but I still have one jar left...I always paint my tracks in that base color and then wheather and highlight from that.

I have experimented with the base colour. I use the following method I start with Testors hull red as a base color over that I paint the base color here it was Testors "1943 Panzer dunkelgelb" I paint it very light so I can get a shaddow effect .This time it turned out very olive green ! Not what I wanted you can see traces of it on the fire extinguisher. I then repeately painted several washes of different colors from Vallejo, Yes it is arcrylic , you can do it that way, but dont try to wash afterwards with anything containing turpentine it will ruin the paintwork.

At last two pictures from the running gear. The steel effect is made with very little
amount of "rubb'n buff" a paste in a little tube, it is very good to give tracks and running gear a used look.
Well that all for now , I would be very glad to recive some commets.

Dan,

This model looks like a winner . Great build. The tracks and suspension/wheels look great especially the metal effect, also that Moskit muffler is killer man.

Hi,

Looks cool :thumb:
The tracks look especially nice.
I would not recommend using Testors Dunkel Gelb, it always looks too green. I usually mix my own colour.
