Don't like the new VBench

Is it just me, or do other's not like the way the VBench forum opens? I used to visit every day.. but now it opens with a list of names.. I have no desire to click on everything.. if a lot of people don't like this, would it be possible to change it back to the way it was? :o

I'll add another link on the forum page, if it drags down the forums' performance i'll need to change it back. The forum software isn't made for using it in the "vBench" way and we are really pushing its' limits...

I think that this is a moot point about the vBench format. I always click the view new post button anyways with web sites like this. There are two ways to do it.

The first one you don't even need to sign in just go to the front page and in the upper left corner is a View New Posts button.

If you do choose to log-in then on the forums page there is another View New Posts button.

Using either of these two methods is the most efficient way of seeing what is new. Quit trying to sow seeds of dissension Tuna and maybe contribute by posting some images into your vBench folder of things you've been working on of late. :) :lol:

I just want to say that when the vBench forum format changed I started using the view new posts button. It is so easy and fast. Will never go back to browsing the old way. ;)

ok.. but when I went to look for that recent Pz III that I love the camo job on.. lol I can't find my way back to it.. I tried Search with III M/N.. or just III.. and no go...

Gordy.. site looks awsome... and this forum is a lot better than the Network 54 stuff, I was just commenting that I liked the old way better.. but if it effects the performance I can definately understand why you changed it. but I'll try and give 'view' new posts a shot...

James.. I'm still here.. even if it's just to piss and moan.. someday I gotta get me building again.. and VBench is one of those things that gives me the urg (specially that recent Pz III.. wish I could remember who the builder was! ;)

You can also use the "My Assistant" which would show you the active topics for the day. I like this feature much better than the new post one.

How come there's a bunch of names at the bottom that are not in alphabetical order (including me)? Are these the bad boys? ;)

I personally use the "Today's active topics".

How do I post pics in the V-Bench. I am building a few models at the moment and would like to post some pics but have no idea how to do it on the V-Bench?

Hi Toby,

You need to go to, I think it under the, "General Forums" and look for how to get a V-bench, then follow th e directions.

Instead of manually sorting each sub-forum alphebetically, the "alpabetic list" link is provided on the main forum page :)
