Hi guy's,
I wanted to share some photo's of my latest work in progress.
I'm turning a Academy M-113 A2 in to a M-113 A3.
I've started working on the interior (a very simplified version )
It's the first time posting photo's so lets hoop it works.

Jan-Willem, I don't know much about the M113A3, but spent more hours than I want to remember inside A1's and A2's. It looks like you are building interior walls that would block off the areas where the radio racks were mounted, and the area behind the seats where we normally had all kinds of junk stowed. Was this a change on the A3? I'll post a couple pics I have of the inside of an M113A2 when I get home tonight.

Jan-Willem, I've posted two pictures of the interior of an M113A2. I hope this helps.

Jan-Willem has incorporated the sliding spall liners of the A3 upgrade.
There's other photos but this is the first one I pulled up:
TankNet posting of uparmored M113A3 (http://www.tank-net.org/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t13624.html)

Thanks for the info and the link. It's obvious the old M113 continues to go through changes, and the A3 doesn't resemble what I served on. I remember being told that soldiers didn't ride in them as much as they rode on top of them in Vietnam due to the threat of mines. It sounds like the vulnerability to mines, or in this case IED's, continues to be a problem. In any case thanks for the info!
