I have had a little free time to get some more work done on the LVT4 models for my book. My good friend Mike Armstrong recently flew in from L.A. to travel to the AMPS Nats show up in Ohio. A great show and by the way, congrats to Mike for winning a Silver medal at the show.
Also congrats to my buddy Bill Chilstrom, who made the AMPS trip with us, and won two Gold medals, along with the "Best Figure Award" and the "Best Diorama Award".
Above is a photo of a brass sump screen that I needed for my LVT4 kits. I will have these made in photo-etch for the Trakz LVT4 detail set that I am working on. But, for the models in my book, I won't have the photo-etch sets to use, so Mike took it upon himself to make me two of these sump screen assemblies from scratch!!! Using a mill at his shop.
What a guy!!! Thanks Mike, you came through again!
